Dean's Welcome Note
On behalf of our students and faculty staffs, let me welcome you to the portal of the Faculty of Manufacturing Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Pahang. This portal will help you obtain information regarding the programs offered by the Faculty.
Currently, we offer a degree program in Bachelor of Engineering with options in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or dual-degree in Mechatronic Engineering (UMP-HsKA). Besides that, we also offer Manufacturing and Mechatronics programs (by Research) at the Master's and PhD levels. Through a balance of rigorous curriculum and experience-based learning, graduates from our program concentration become competent and excellent leaders in the area of manufacturing design, process, system and automation.
We are a vibrant and energetic faculty with 56 academic members of staff who are actively involved in teaching and research which are recognized at the national and international levels and 17 administrative members of staff. The moderate size of our faculty enables our academicians to work with the students on a one-to-one basis in designing a curriculum and research programme to meet their individual needs and interests. This also promotes excellent working relationships between the students and faculty members, and provides a training atmosphere that is often difficult to attain at larger institutions.
We remain committed to our mission: “To produce competent engineering graduates by providing excellent manufacturing engineering program, we are also committed to enhancing wealth creation through research and development, commercialization and consultation in the area of manufacturing design, process, system and automation”
This is an exciting time to be contemplating graduate study and an exciting time to be at the Faculty. We hope that ff on you as you visit faculty's website.
We invite you to get in touch with us for a more personal introduction to the Faculty of Manufacturing Engineering. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
