The degree is offered as a result of the need to produce professional graduates who are knowledgeable and competent in their field. They would also have leadership qualities and able to work in a team. The implementation of the outcomes-based education would ensure that this objective is achieved.

Welcome to our faculty. Besides Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering, we are currently offering two programmes which are Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering and Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering (UMP-HsKA).We strive to produce excellent mechatronics engineer who is capable of developing, designing, producing, maintaining, and running mechatronic systems and their components especially in manufacturing and automotive applications which is the biggest engineering markets in Malaysia.
Using comprehensive curriculum syllabus which emphasizes mechatronics areas such as robotics, control/automation and instrumentation, modern teaching and labotary equipment to simulate industrial environment, hands-on practices by the students, mixture of highly experienced lecturers/professors with talented and courageous young lecturers, research commercialization, adding good values and professional ethics, we try to develop the students who would be able to integrate the elements of electronics, mechanics and computer sciences respectively information processing.
In addition we also want to improve the quality of our gradueates by offering dual-degree programme in cooperation with University of Applied Science Karlsruhe (HsKA), Germany which is the ONLY university to do so in Malaysia. The graduates from this programme will be recognized not only by professional organisation in Malaysia but also in Germany which is a huge advantage for them to build their professional carrier after study.
After graduation our students may work in research and development, technical consultation, marketing, production, manufacturing and services, and are therefore regarded as “allrounders” who would fit well in engineering areas like mechanical, electronics and control/automation.
